Once I blared music and he didn't wake up,once I rolled him onto the floor and didn't wake up and I sprayed him once in the face with hair spray and he jsut sneezed but he didn't wake up... this seems so hopeless!

Wow, that's a hard sleeper. Does he take meds or have a neurological disorder? Tickle him under his chin but watch out he doesn't awaken abruptly and hit you!

How old is he- you? Why are you responsible to wake him up? You are not his mother. Are you his keeper? What does he have to be up for work - school?

He needs to be held accountable for his own ability to get his butt out of bed. Either be late for school (miss the buss - walk- get detention for being late) or have the problems at work for being late.

Get him a Good Loud alarm clock (that has two time alarm settings- so he gets double whammy). Teach him to set it. But it at a place where he has to get out of bed to turn it off. Get rid of any really dark blinds (so the room is semi light and not pitch black). Tell him you will offer to call him ONCE. What time would he like that to be? After that - your job should be done. If your Mom has you do this job - have her read this.

I used to sleep walk. One time I was awakened while in a very deep sleep, I went into a seizure and ended up accidently giving my brother a bloody nose. Two weeks later I was diagnosed with Epilepsy.

Wake him as gently as possible, but do be careful. Maybe a doc appt isn't a bad idea either.

The best way to wake up a very sound sleeper is to make it as light as possible in his room. Scaring him is not a good idea to wake him up. You should also play some music or a tv but not an extremely loud volume, just an average volume that he would listen to normally when he was awake.

Is your brother younger or older than you? If hes older I would stop waking him up and let him be responsible for himself. If hes late or doesn't make it, thats his fault. I have an older brother and I used to have to wake him up. So i would start pounding on his bedroom door very "annoying" every 15 mins until he would get up. I would do it when i pass to do my hair or whatever and everytime i would do it until hes like FINE i'm up lol.
