I have spiral curly hair. I use hair gel and hair spray on it and sometimes its kind of crunchy. I have used so many different brands, but I am looking for a unique product that allows me to not use very much product and have a soft spiral curl without the crunch, ever. I want it to remain soft but frizz free all day. Normal products I buy at places like wal-mart never deliver this result. I saw an add for shamoo/conditioner products from "mixed chicks" that looked like it may do this. Does anyone know if it does? If not, any other suggestions?
How do I get soft curls?
I have that same problem. I used everything under the sun that promised to make my hair have soft, touchable, bouncy curls, without making them stiff and brittle or sticky or droopy.
The BEST thing I did was nothing.
One day I had no products to put in my hair and I let it air dry and it turned out better than I could have thought.
While your hair is still wet use a wide tooth comb to style/part it how you want it to dry, then leave it be. If you want you can scrunch the curls with your hand and twist them how you want them to curl, but try to do this minimally.
While your hair is drying it tends to look like it will end up frizzy but this is only becuase some parts of your hair are drying faster than others. If you let it air dry completely without touching it much you will reduce the amount of frizz in your hair.
If you don't have time to let it air dry then hit it with a diffuser on your hair dryer. DO NOT flip your head upside down and dry it. Hold the dryer several inches away from your hair.
TRUST ME. I have struggled so many years with my curly hair.
Give it a try.

If you buy higher-quality products, you won't get the crunchy effect.
I use Alterna/Kerastase mousse or Pureology curl cream, and Paul Mitchell spray wax - my curls hold and don't frizz at all.

I can reccommed 1 products for you, Garnier Soft Curl Cream. I use on my sister's curly hair, she is mixed, and it works great for us. We tried almost everything before this with no luck. A few other products did ok, and you could try them, if the curl cream doesnt work for you.
Frizz-Eaze
Suave's Healthy Curls line( Redken knockoff)Anti-frizz cream.
Kinky-Curly custard http://www.kinky-curly.com/ ( This worked well for me, but it left my sister's hair slighty crunchy)
