Odd question: men who defend traditional values, how else are you traditional?

I am curious about how traditionalism relates to other areas. It could be anything. For example: do you use Brylkreem, Wildroot, Vitalis, or an old-fashioned pomade, or do you use some flowery or fruity smelling hair gel or "paste" or hair spray to keep yourself looking sharp?

I wear conservative clothes, dark suits, button-down collar, plain ties, wingtips. Trimmed beard, short haircut, no "product."

My personal life is pretty traditionalist - but politically and socially, ANYTHING but. I'm for labor rights, women's rights, and gay rights. I'm anti-war, pro-racial equality, pro-abortion rights, and pro-weapons rights.

I'm in favor of legal structures that leave people's sex lives alone, which might lead you to think I'm some sort of a "free love" type - but I've been with the same woman for years, and yes, we've got a boy in college.

I'm for legalization of drugs, but I don't even drink.

I'm the exact opposite of what you're aiming at. My politics are radical left, and my personal conduct is traditionalist.

However, I will admit I have three piercings in one ear, but I don't wear earrings in 'em except at home with Ms. Red. And I was a punker back in the early 80s.

I wonder if they're "traditional" regarding sex...as in, won't have sex (at least with the future Mrs. until AFTER the nuptials). I'm sure traditionalism goes out the door, then.

I live in Florida, so it's a little different here. It's a lot more laid back, although I wore ties, slacks, and so on(for work) for years. Now it's more like a collared Polo with slacks... I had hair down to my shoulders in high school, and wore bellbottoms. I actually hung out with a lot of the hippy-type, and went to the beach all the time(surfed, skateboarded, football, baseball, ...). But again, this is Florida.

And I'm not a rightest, but I'm more central with a lean towards the right.

My sense of traditionalism has been reduced to my clothes. (I never wear anything too trendy. I just wear what happens to look and feel good on me, usually classic styles.)

I'm guessing that most of them follow an organized religion.

That is not to say that liberal minded people don't have faith. They just don't adhere to dogma.
