Tripple barrel curling iron help!!!?

I have sholder length very wavy hair, and it's so soft i can never seem to get my hair to hold the wave of a tripple barrel. (it won't hold any curl for that matter.) i tried hair spray, but it just looks stiff after. is there anything i can do to make the waves deep, and last all day?

A lot of it depends on how hot your iron gets in the first place. Also the area you live and humidity play a factor. Try holding the iron in place for a longer period of time or using thinner pieces at a time to curl. If that doesn't work it could be the iron or your enviroment. You could braid your hair while its semi-wet and sleep on it. That's a no-fail method.

Try Garnier Fructis mousse and also try not to add too much conditioner after shampooing.

I have the same problem. My hair is very straight and never wants to do anything. When I crimp it with a 3 barrel, I pin it up on my head, and do like 1 inch sections at a time. Then I spray each section with a hairspray that has a flexible hold. After you're done, wait until it's all dry, and gently brush it out with a wide tooth comb or rake. It will make it look soft and keep the hold.

The other thing you can do it put mousse on it while it's wet, dry it, and then crimp it.
