I got a perm a few months ago and I still love it. What I use is Suave shampoo and conditioner (the cheap stuff), but I really don't think it's the shampoo or conditioner that matter, as long as both, in order to get the product out and then condition the hair. When my hair has been in a towel for a good 10-15 minutes, I use a hair pick and gently comb my hair to separate the curls. If you don't do that, they clump together. Then I use Garnier Fructis "curl construct" mousse and scrunch it. After that settles in I use the Garnier Fructis hair serum. It's like putting oil in your hair, but it makes them shiny without looking greasy. Then my hair dries into beautiful curls! Good luck!
