How do I fix flyaways?

I have light blonde hair that's straight and thin. I blow dry it every morning but it takes me about 3 min and then I add some shape with a straightener (just so it doesn't look messy) but nothing too dramatic. Recently I've had a ton of flyaways at the top of my head (brocken hair I guess) and I have no idea what to do with it. They stick straight up and I've tried hair spray and some type of a cream.. but I'm skeptical about anything that I need to put in my hair because it weighs it down and makes it look dirty (trust me pretty much everything does) and I've stayed away from any gels and whatnot.

Is there a leave in treatment or something that might help? I've tried a deep conditioner and got no results...

Or, if you don't want to spend the cash what you do is put lotion on your hands/arms. The leftover lotion thats left on your hand you rub on top of your hair, smoothing over the flyways. Be careful though, if you use too much it will look greasy

You are damaging and breaking you hair from excessive blow drying. Put the dryer away, use a gently shampoo and a conditioner. Place a small amount of hair serum just on the ends to control the flyaways. If you must dry you hair, let it dry naturally most of the way and then finish on a low setting with the dryer facing downward from the top of head to settle the flyaways. You need to grow out some new healthy hair and then be more gentle with it.
