I have pretty straight hair, if i condition then imediatly blow dry its dead straight, otherwise its wavy but then the next morning again its dead straight. I curl my hair with hot curlers and every body says i look so much better with curled hair, but they only last about an hour! Can you help me? I don't like gel because it gets flaky and hair spray looks really fake coz they dont bounce at all then.
How do i achive curls?
go down to Sally's and buy some plastic mesh rollers and give yourself a good old fashioned shampoo and roller set using a strong setting lotion
then either let your hair air dry or sit under a hooded dryer until it totally dry
before taking out the rollers use your fingers to separate the curls and place them into the style you want and then use some non rigid hairspray to keep it in place
a wet roller set is better than heated rollers as your hair is set into the rollers when wet and can last up to 12 hours for me
you could also try a shampoo and set at a hair salon to see how long your hair will stay curled
Don't perm as this is damaging to your hair

Best you go to a salon and get a proper consultation from a professional, they won't charge you for the consultation and can recommend much better products that in the short term will cost you more but they last so much longer than supermarket products and the quality is much better too.

I have the same problem... My hair WILL NOT hold curls....
My suggestion.. Go get a body wave or a spiral perm.... U can always iron it straight quicker than you can curl it...

If you have never permed your hair before, then you need to go to a salon. If you prefer to do a home perm then you will need the Hard to wave kit. Either a spiral or a full body wave.
