Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Cream ... ?

I love the Garnier Soft Curl Cream! I have the same problem. What I do is,after washing,I put leave in curl conditioner(Garnier) and then I blow dry. After blowdrying I curl some of the unruley pieces with a 3/4inch curling iron. I run the cream through my palms, flip my hair over and scrunch throughout my hair. Then I flip it back over and hairspray with TRESemme' TRES Two Extreme Hold. Good luck!

Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Cream ... ?

ya know...I really like some of the Garnier products. I have naturally curly hair and honestly, the soft curl cream was not one of my favorites. it felt really sticky going in and hard to work with. But, since you bought it already, here is what I would do:

before putting the soft curl cream in, put the Garnier Sleek and Shine serum through your hair to help calm/untangle/defrizz. This will make it easier to use the curl cream. Actually, I might even squirt a small amount of the shine serum (it is the pump form) with the curl cream to help make it more workable.

To "depoof" your hair here is what I try....I twist my hair in sections and hold it there for a bit. Or I might even style it then lay down on a pillow on my back just to "compress" my hair. I know, sounds lame, but it helps. Try wrapping a scarf around your head LOOSELY - again, all attempts to just flatten just a touch to take the POOF out.

For the dryness factor- make sure that you are not overdoing it with products with alcohol as one of the first ingrediants. Very drying. To combat this do a weekly deep conditioning (the 3 minute deep conditioning is good by Garnier, too), but leave it on for at least 20 min wrapped in a towel or shower cap (to keep heat in). ALSO.....part of the POOF factor may be too MANY products. Hair is like a sponge and can only suck up so much before it swells beyond the size of Spongebob Squarepants. Try a cleansing shampoo, do NOT condition it and then use a leave in conditioner ONLY for a day or so. Leave in conditioners are different than conditioners in the shower that you rinse.....those still leave a coating on your hair and make it "swell" which isn't really all that "swell" when you want it not so poofy.
